The masters of the Faculty of Economics and Business offer internships in companies as an optional course that will allow students to gain experience in the professional context for a short period of time. They are equivalent to 6 ECTS in the Master in Entrepreneurship and Innovation and 9 ECTS in the Master in Management and the Master in International Markets.
Through these internships, students are introduced to the labour market by working either in a public (municipalities, county councils, governmental agencies…) or private sector company (financial institutions, family businesses, multinationals, SMEs, consulting firms, ...). In this way, students can acquire skills that are essential for our masters and in turn, that can prepare them for their insertion in the labour market.
In the province of Tarragona there is a significant number of companies with which our Faculty collaborates in order to offer students the possibility of an internship that shall fit each master´s profile.
The Faculty of Business and Economics has signed educational cooperation agreements, that establish the aforementioned Internship program, with over 100 companies in the province that belong to all sectors of economic activity (e.g. energy sector, food sector, chemical industry, services etc.). Among there are well known internationalised companies such as:

Students that carry out an internship are assigned two tutors:
An external tutor: that is part of the staff working for the company where the intern is placed
An internal or academic tutor: that is a Professor at the Faculty.
Both tutors jointly monitor and evaluate students’ internship and performance, while they also accompany them during their training stage. They facilitate students during their adaptation to the novel professional context and encourage students to become aware of how to apply theoretical knowledge into practice.
The Faculty has implemented the Assurance Quality System PR-FEE-010-Management of Curricula Internships, where a detailed explanation is provided with regards all the agents involved in the Internship program and the full procedures to carry out this program.
